Two die hard watch enthusiasts and rolex explorer owners battle it out to see which is best, the rolex explorer 36mm or the 39mm. When i got it i was coming from a 42mm watch and thought the 39mm exp seemed small. Size is obviously important, but no one has mentioned that the 39mm has an improved movement over the 36mm.
Just bought a 114270, i dont like the bezel on the 39mm, it seems to dominate, reminds me of a super hero shield, same as the newer datejusts, and the case, bloated like a shiny squashed clout nail, although the newer versions dial is now fixed for me.
